Good morning, afternoon and evening fellow readers,
July has come to a close and it was a $2.00 increase over June in dividend payments.
The markets had a rough end of the month, more tariffs, and the FED announced that there wouldn’t be a rate cut, which sent the market into a tailspin (getting to buy stock at a discount!)
I was paid by 54 companies and out of the 22 trading days, I was paid dividends 16 of those days.
In the last summary blog update I said I would increase the yearly dividend goal to $50, but that goal seemed to likely to beat, so I upped it to $75
This portfolio under performed the S&P – This portfolio gained 1.15% while the S&P 500 gained 1.51%.
Next, we have the actual vs projected chart, the projected chart is strictly based off contributions of $14 Monday through Friday. And the actual includes market gains/losses + dividends paid (which gets reinvested across the entire pie, not just the company that paid it like a DRIP does. AKA “Dividend Re-Investment Program”
The data broken down to an hourly wage equivalent. There is a little dip due to the payment frequency data on a company was set to 12 (monthly) whereas it should’ve been set to 4 (quarterly)
And finally, what do all these dividend payments look like on a daily basis? Here is a chart that displays the dividends received, each line is a day. I have been paid 107 out of 146 business days so far this year, and I have received a total of 315 dividend payments
And that’s the summary for July
